Heathcote, Ted (Edward)

Very sorely missed, loved and loving, husband, father and grandfather.

Our world traveler and punner, took his final journey on the evening of Friday, June 22, 2012.

As the first staff member of the Bytown Travel Team, Ted aided and abetted travelers from the start in 1975 until his retirement in 2000.

Ted was a longtime and dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club of Rideau and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Friends are invited to visit the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 1 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 2 p.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations to SOS Children’s Villages (in Kenya) 200-244 Rideau Street, Ottawa, ON K1N 5Y3, Carleton Place Hospital Foundation or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
