Peacefully at Almonte Country Haven, with his family by his side, in his 82nd year.

Predeceased by his loving wife Joan Crawford. Dear Dad of Heather Leary (Rick), of Almonte, Brian (late Donna) of Barrhaven, Blair (Heather) of Carleton Place and Judy (Gerry) of Edmonton. Dear Poppy of 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Maynard (Joyce) and Wilmer. Predeceased by his brother Everett.

Friends are invited to visit the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place, on Friday August 10, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at United Cemeteries.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation, or Almonte Country Haven Life Enrichment Team, would be appreciated by the family.
