Arthur Joseph Whittom

Arthur Joseph Whittom Jr.  born August 21, 1928, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the General Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario with his 2 daughters by his side.  Pre deceased by his son Andre in 1972 and his loving wife of 55 years Mary Beaucage-Whittom in 2010.  Survived by one brother, Yvon Whittom, and 2 sisters Lise Whittom-Hebert and Rita Whittom all of Quebec.  He is also survived by 2 grandsons, 6 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1945 and retired in 1967, but remained active in the Reserves until the early 1980’s.  He worked for the Commissionaires from 1991 until 2010 at which time he retired.  

Visitation will take place at Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place, on Friday December 22 from 11 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 1p.m.
