It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Barbara at the age of 90 on February 7, 2024, after a recent battle with deteriorating health.
Barbara is survived by her two nephews Paul (Karen) and Chris (Carole), her grand nephew Steven (Lydia) and grand niece Valerie (Vincent). She also leaves behind her dear great-grand nieces Amelia and Zoe. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mildred. Barbara was predeceased by her loving parents Alexander and Winifred Hamilton, her sister Doreen and her brother Donald.
Barbara was born and raised in Carleton Place and was well known and loved by a great many of the townsfolk. A very kind and generous soul, Barb was actively involved with volunteering in the community. She was a life-long parishioner of Saint James Anglican Church, and a member for many years in the church choir.
Barbara and her sister Doreen were inseparable, (known as the Hamilton girls) and were together at events and social occasions about town. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
