  Barry Elmer Garland

July 31, 1950 – September 6, 2025 

Barry transitioned to the heavens above, peacefully, after a long battle with cancer. He was born and raised on a farm outside Richmond.  

He was the third son of Gordon and Myrtle (Porter).  Barry shared life with nine siblings; Wayne (deceased), (Judy); Ken (deceased); Ross (Joan); Brian(deceased), (Jose); Glen (Terry); Richard (Nancy); Ray (Francine); Doug and Sandra. 

Barry attended South Carleton High School and later worked for the Federal Government in logistics. In his retirement years he enjoyed the great outdoors and in particular playing the many golf courses in the area.  He always looked forward to the yearly trips to Myrtle Beach with his friends.    

Barry will be dearly missed by his family and many friends! 

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Munster Union Cemetery, 2821 Munster Rd, Munster at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
