Betty Holmes

Betty Carroll Holmes nee Fairservice, passed away October 21st, 2024 at the Civic Hospital.  Betty lived a full and vibrant life and touched the lives of many people along the way.  Betty for many years worked at the Canadian Bank Note as an examiner.  She was married to her wonderful, husband, Albert Holmes for 70 years and leaves behind her children; Donna, Wayne (Deborah) and Jeffery, her grandson, Jason (Hallie) and great grand children, Findlay and Keely.  Betty was the oldest of seven children, Kenny Fairservice (Barbara), Donald Fairservice (JoAnn), Garey Fairservice (Joan), Joyce MacKenzie, Diane Fairservice Bowes, and Larry Fairservice (Jeannette) and nieces and nephews left behind.
Betty loved camping and travelling in the RV being with friends and family.  She had a great love for dogs and cats and making them part of the family.
A celebration of life will be held at Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on November 16th, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests a donation to the Heart and Stroke or a charity of their choice in Betty’s memory.
