Beverley Coon Obituary

Beverley Joan Coon

1931 - 2023

It is with great sadness we share the passing of Beverley Joan Coon in her 93rd year. Predeceased by husband, David, her brother, George Young, and her son, Peter, Bev will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Ken Young, sons Jeremy ´Gus’ (Carrie) and John, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Over the years, “favourite” only grandchild Andrew, enjoyed making memories with his Gran through their shared baking, gardening and travel adventures. Bev was known locally as a dedicated teacher at Carleton Place High School, as well as an avid volunteer with several organizations including the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival and the National Art Gallery. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the patient and attentive care given by the staff at the Peter D. Clark Long Term Care Centre.

A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity or foundation of your choice in memory of Bev would be appreciated.
