It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Blanche Cox (nee McGuire) on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Almonte General Hospital in her 93rd year. Survived by her dear sister Edith Currie. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Clara McGuire, her brother John and sisters Gladys Hutchinson, Laura Virgin, Ollie Manson and Carmel Napier. Blanche will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Fairview Manor and the Almonte General Hospital as well as a special thanks to Dr. Ray.

Friends are invited to pay their respects at Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, ON, on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 2 – 5p.m. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 1:30 p.m..  Interment to follow at Guthrie United Church Cemetery in Clayton, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place.
