Bohumir (Bob) Ribek

Passed away peacefully at Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place on December 10, 2025.  Bob was 97 years old.  Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Ribek.  Loving father of Geoffrey (Susan Thurston), and Marina (Michael Whitby).  Much loved Poppa to Kaitlynn and Kassandra.  “Great Poppa” to Lexi.  Bob will be missed by family in Czechia, Slovakia, the United States and Canada. 

A funeral and reception will take place at St. James Anglican Church in Carleton Place on Monday, December 22 at 11:00 am.  A reception in the church hall will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s name to a charity of your choice. 

Time cannot steal the treasures that we carry in our hearts,

Nor ever dim the shining thoughts our cherished past imparts,

For the memories of the ones we loved still cast a gentle glow,

To grace our days and light our paths,

Wherever we may go.
