Bonnie’s family is saddened to announce her peaceful passing in Smiths Falls hospital.
Wife of Harold C.W. Walther for 47 years. Mother of Peter Alan Walther (Tina Moynes) and Dustin Eric Walther (Michelle D’Orsay), all of Belleville. Grandmother of Kaleb Walther, Preston Walther and Lyla Walther. Sister of Heather Taggart (David - deceased), Bruce Dell (Nina) and Melville Dell (Lenore). Pre-deceased by her parents Charlotte (1996) and Preston Dell (2012), and mother-in-law Myrtle (1976) and father-in-law William Walther(1987). Proud and dedicated member of the ‘Order of Eastern Star’, Ontario, Canada, since 1974.
As well as being remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews, Bonnie will be thought of as the ‘Go To Mom’ by many high school friends of both Peter and Dustin.  After school ‘drop-ins’ for countless teens who needed to talk or just somewhere to go.
Her working career took her to positions as pay clerk, accounts receivable, top secret clerical at External Affairs, ward clerk at Carleton Place Hospital for 22 years, radiology clerk, and a short stint at fast food location.
She was a graduate of Glebe Collegiate Institute, Ottawa.
Visitation Friday, February 2, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Memorial and Star Service Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11 am in chapel.
Charitable donations in Bonnie’s name could be made to ‘Wounded Warriors Canada’ or ‘Carleton Place Memorial Hospital Foundation’.
