Ferguson, Brian
It is with broken hearts that the family of Brian Ferguson announces his death after a short, but courageous battle with cancer at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday July 24th, 2023 at the age of 59.
Loving husband of Marion (nee McLeod). Beloved son of William and Deanna (nee Brown). He will forever be remembered by his siblings, Sarah (Shawn), Brent (Carla) and Blair (friend Lita). He was the proud uncle of Christopher, Devan, Katie, Michael, Ian, Avery and Emily. He will be sadly missed by his great nephew Stryder and great nieces Mila and McKinley, his uncles Ray, Donald and David along with his cousins Andrew, Joel, Derek, Patricia, Melinda and Jamey.
Brian was a well-known timekeeper at Memorial Gardens and the Double Rinks. He worked for the North Bay Nugget delivering the newspaper and was a crossing guard for many years. Everyone who had the privilege to know him will never forget his smiling face and how he saw the bright side of every situation. He will be fondly missed by all.
Interment of ashes will be held on Saturday August 5th at 12:30 pm at the St James Cemetery in Carleton Place followed by a luncheon at the Carleton Place Legion from 1 until 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Captain A. Roy Brown, Legion Branch 192, Carleton Place in memory of Brian will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
Special thanks to Dr. Hailey Moore and Dr. Bailey Steele for the care and compassion given to Brian.
