It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Douglas Mackintosh on August 13, 2025, at Fairview Manor in Almonte.  Brian passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family after a lengthy and courageous battle with ALS.

Brian was a devoted husband to his sweetheart Janet, a proud and loving father to Alexandra and Nicholas and a cherished Grandpa to Christian. Brian was so very fortunate to have endearing love and support from his immediate family. Brother James and sisters, Barb (Michael) and Sheila (Eric). Along with his extended family and amazing friends.

A genuinely kind and mild-mannered person. Brian achieved top sales recognition for many years throughout his working career. His happiest moments were spent at shared gatherings with family and friends up at the lake, or on the golf course with buddies, or latterly, simply enjoying a jigsaw puzzle with good company.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Fairview Manor for their wonderful care and compassion throughout Brian’s stay.

Brian was a perfect example of someone who never gave up, lived life to the fullest and treasured every minute. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by many.

 A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date where family and friends will gather to share stories, and mostly love & laughter.
