Catherine Faye Campbell
Sept 30,1948 - March 6,2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Faye (Cassidy) Campbell after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Faye was the beloved wife of Lyle for nearly 58 years, a cherished mother to Cathy (Brian) Day, a loving grandmother to Brittany and Megan (Casper), and a special GiGi to Harlow and Flora Faye. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Gail (Ian) Kirkconnell and Carol (Andre) Pavelich, as well as her many nieces and nephews from both the Cassidy and Campbell families. Faye is also survived by her dear Aunt Margaret (Glen) McKenney and her brother-in-law, Ken Campbell and sister-in-law Marjorie Campbell. She was predeceased by her parents, Ebert and Pearl Cassidy.
Faye was well known for her unwavering love for family, friends, and community. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, dedicating her time to volunteer work wherever she could. She spent many years delivering mail for Canada Post before transitioning to public service, serving her community as a councillor in Beckwith Township for 19 years. She was a founding member of the Greater Ashton Community Association and actively involved with the Ashton United Church UCW & Community Drop-In group. Over the years, she also contributed as a member of the Eastern Star, the 100 Women Who Care Lanark County, and most recently, as an active member of the Beckwith Seniors group, and volunteer for the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation.
Faye’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Laskey, Darlene Quartermain, the staff at the Irving Greenberg Centre, the many PSWs, and nurse Brooke for their compassionate care at home. Special thanks as well to the caring staff and Dr. Spacek at the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice in Kanata.
In Faye’s memory, donations may be made to the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation (Link below)
