Christiane passed away peacefully at home at the age of 78 years. Beloved mother to Carolyne (Poppe) Dobson and Grandmother to Jessica and Fiona Dobson. Christiane was predeceased by her parents, Juliana Callebaut and René Kosynski. She has one surviving older brother, André Kosynski of Brisbane, Australia.

She was a proud member of the Catholic women’s league in Carleton Place. Within her church community, she was known for her commitment to prayer, the rosary, Divine Mercy and bible study. The Cursillo movement as well as unwed mothers were the recipients not only of her prayers, but also of many crocheted or knitted prayer shawls. 

For over 35 years, she was a professional health care provider, primarily in the role of a registered massage therapist. She was also a registered nursing assistant, aromatherapist, craniosacral therapist, Reiki therapist, and foot reflexologist. Her passions for health and of learning never ceased.

Family and friends will celebrate her life with a wake at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic church on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 9:30-10:30am, followed by a funeral service at 11am, with internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carleton Place.

In honour of her memory, donations to Furry Tales Cat Rescue and/or the St. Mary’s RC Church, Carleton Place, Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
