Christopher Basil Hewitt
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Basil Hewitt, who tragically lost his life on April 3, 2026, as the result of an accident.
Christopher was the husband of Fiona Hewitt, Father to Kylie and Lexie Hewitt, stepfather to Paige Pipe and Tyler Martin. He was the beloved son of Douglas Kimberly Hewitt (Andrea Hewitt) and Angela Eastman, brother to Robin Hewitt (Richard Mills), Marcus Hewitt (Natalie Duchesne), Drew Hewitt (Stephanie Henriques), Jeffrey Reid (Jasmine Hie), Brandon Reid (Kimberly Herzick). Brother-in-Law to Diane Martin. Loving Uncle to Zander, Vanek, Tenley, James, Noah, Lucas, Jayla, Ava, Adeline, Rayna, Zaiden, Laekyn, Hailey, Hanna, and Mya. Grandson to the deceased Basil Hewitt, the deceased Mabel Hewitt, the deceased Douglas Eastman and Dorothy Everson. Pop’s to Tucker and Mason Martin.
Christopher was known for his kind heart, his sense of humour, his vibrant spirit, and joy of life that he brought to those around him. He would drop what he was doing and do anything for anyone. Chris lived his life to the fullest, always making those around him laugh and have a good time.
Christopher was born on January 12, 1983. Christopher grew up with a deep appreciation of the outdoors including hobbies of ice fishing, creating massive bon fires, boating, golfing and traveling with his wife, Fiona and kids.
His wife and girls always remained the most important part of his life. He would do anything for them. He will be remembered for his warm smile; a smile that would light up the room, sense of humour, compassion, and meaningful connections that he formed with family, friends and colleagues. Christopher had a way to make people laugh and feel loved and valued, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
