Gauci, Darlene (nee Rose)
May 27, 1965 - July 17, 2024
We are saddened to announce the passing of Darlene, after a 14-year journey with NETS cancer. Darlene slipped away in her sleep after a difficult decline over the past months. Cherished wife of Robert and eldest daughter of Dianne and Hans (deceased). Darlene leaves behind two sons, Adam (Sarah) and Nathan. Her grandbabies, Charlie and Greer will miss Nanna’s guidance in their lives. Darlene is survived by her sisters Debbie and Karina (DJ Munro), as well as her sister-in-law, Maureen (Mike Parsons), brother-in-law Allan, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family is grateful to acknowledge the care she received at the London Health Sciences Center (esp. Doctors Gray and Laidley) as well as in Ottawa with the Cancer Center Team (esp. Dr. Goodwin). Monitoring by Dr. Walker and his team ensured a good standard of care. In her final days with us, Bayshore Home Health assisted Darlene and the family.
Darlene touched the hearts of many friends and co-workers with her strong moral compass, hard work and compassion, interspersed with a great sense of humour and adventure.
A private celebration of life will be held in future by the family at their home.
In her memory, please consider donating to CNETS Canada, to raise awareness of this disease.
