Darrell Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell Brown, age 62, on September 23, 2025, at Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital.

Darrell was predeceased by his parents Hazel (née Westbrook) and Lyfred Brown, and by his brother Tom. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Kelly Thompson; his children Chelsea Badour (Gregory), Taylor Brown (Aaron) and Luka Brown (Andrew); and his cherished granddaughters Clarissa, Lillian and Theodora. He is also survived by his brothers Shawn (Julie), Lyle (Greta) and Marty (Debbie); his sister-in-law Sue; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

A skilled contractor throughout his life, Darrell was known for his hard work, craftsmanship, and the love he held for his family. He faced life with quiet strength and a wry sense of humour.

As was his wish, there will be no formal service or arrangements. In honour of Darrell, raise a beer and remember the good times.
