David Kenneth Lytle
24 Nov 1952 - 24 April 2025
It is with heavy hearts we share the news of Dave’s passing on Thursday at his home near Burritts Rapids with family by his side.
Proud father of Jeff (Becky), predeceased by daughter Carey. Loving Pop to grandsons Owen and Parker. Dave leaves behind his loving wife Debby, his mother Lynne, siblings Lynanne (Dave Cane), Andy (Denise), Gary (Davina) and brother-in-law Steve Nye. Dave will be fondly remembered and missed by his nephews and nieces, Andy (Lauren), Zoe, Kate, Mathew (Samantha), Taylor, Jessica and Kelsi, as well as many cousins and extended family. Pre deceased by his father Ken, brother Travis and sister-in-law Nancy, nephew Christopher, and his Uncle Bruce.
Dave retired after 37 years from his position at Jacob’s, formerly CH2M Hill formerly Gore & Storrie but continued to work on contract until the time of his illness. Dave was highly regarded by his co-workers for his quiet manner, his quick wit, his integrity and ability. Dave had a ready smile and an easy going manner and was called friend by many
He was a natural athlete and was better than good at most things he tried. His love of curling and golf, caring for his family, his property and gardens, BBQing on his green egg and fishing were among his favourite pastimes.
Our family wish to thank the kind and compassionate care Dave received from the Doctors and Nurses at the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the Kemptville Palliative Team. Special mention and thanks to Nurses Alicia, Melody and Trish
Friends and Family are invited to gather on Saturday, May 10th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Carleton Place Curling Club, 120 Patterson Crescent, Carleton Place, ON K7C 4P3 .
