David Steven O'Reilly

April 5, 1974 - July 21, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, David O’Reilly, at the Almonte Hospital on July 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Dave leaves behind his loving parents, Dan and Laura, and his sisters  Mary and Christine. 

Dave was always a cheerful and fun loving guy.  Throughout the last 10 years  Dave lived with us and his canine pals Jorgie and Sweep in Carleton Place.  Now he can take long walks with Jorgie on the other side.

We wish to thank Bill Janes, Dr. Christopher Rae, Matt Fenton, the late Marion Dalgleish, and Kathy Dunlop of Lanark County Mental Health.  Also thanks to Dr. Dawson, and especially Dr. McGarry, and the compassionate and emphatic nurses who cared for Dave at the Almonte Hospital. Also thanks to Almonte’s Social Worker Julia Valley, and our dear friends Ruth and Alvan Aumont, and Dave’s gentle and caring family doctor Dr. Al-Hindawi.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Mito Canada (Mitochondrial disease),  FAHR’s Syndrome or  Lanark County Mental Health would be appreciated by the family.
