 David Swift

1938-2025

David passed peacefully on December 18, 2025 at the Carleton Place Hospital at the age of 87.  David leaves behind his beloved wife Helen of 57 years, his son Michael (Janice), two grandchildren Ayden and Declan and his daughter Jane (Aleisha). 

David grew up in England where he attended Cambridge University and developed a love of travel, languages and cultures of the world. 

He was a man who was most pleased by the simple things in life: being by the water, staunchly supporting Liverpool Football Club, finishing the daily crossword in ink, good food, good wine and good company.  

His big laugh, big heart and big smile will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Friends may support the family on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at St. James Anglican Church, Carleton Place (225 Edmund St) at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to join the family following the service for reception and fellowship in the Parish Hall.
