Deborah Weaver Obituary

Deborah Anne Weaver

It is with profound sadness we as a family announce the passing of Deborah Anne Weaver (nee Logan) after a courageous 14-year battle with cancer. She was at home and with her family, just as she had wished.

Deb, or Debbie to some, was born in Toronto on July 14, 1962, before moving to Stittsville with her mother, father, and brother. In her teen years, she met her soulmate, Ed, and moved to Carleton Place to raise her two boys.

Deb dedicated many years to Bell Northern Research and Perth Soap where she was very loved and respected.

Deb is survived by her mother, Joyce Bradley, and stepfather, Everett Bradley, and was predeceased by her father, Lloyd Logan. She was the loyal wife of 45 years to Edward Weaver, cherished mother to Bradley and Kyle, second mom to her daughter-in-law Katie, and in her most treasured role, Grandma to Leah, Jackson, Charlotte, Chloe, and Sakura. She was the best friend and soul sister to Lori Lachance, little sister to Gary Logan (Nancy), and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

We are grateful for all the extra years we had with Deb after her diagnosis. She was able to fulfill her dream of becoming a grandmother, a role she never thought she would live to see but embraced with joy and love.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Queensway Carleton Hospital, the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre, and Bayshore Home Health for their compassionate care throughout Deb’s journey. Special thanks to Dr. Song and Dr. Ivanovich for their dedication, and to Pastor Bruce North, who provided comfort and peace in her final months, and who had the privilege of baptizing her on her birthday this past July.

We take comfort in the promise that we will see her again.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord,  the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” — 2 Timothy
