November 6, 1951 – January 18, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dianne Leola Buckland. On January 18, 2026, with her hands held by her loving family, Di was reunited with her parents, Arthur and Beulah Buckland.

Di reached the end of her journey with cancer never losing her positivity, grace, dignity, or courage.

Beloved mother of Kyle (Lisa) Riesenkonig, Jake (Maya) Riesenkonig, and Johnny Riesenkonig, she will be forever missed. Di also leaves behind her husband, John Riesenkonig.

She will be sorely missed by her sisters, Sharoland Lampert and Bonnie (Tex) Shalof, and her brother, Barry (Heather) Buckland. Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren: Owen, Isla, a soon-to-be granddaughter, and Arthur, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Di touched countless lives. She was the heart of every gathering, bringing joy through her passions — gardening, thrifting, playing cards and board games, scrapbooking, laughter — and, most of all, being surrounded by her family.

She will forever be remembered as Di, puttering and working in her gardens.

Di’s joy for life, her laughter, love, and quiet heroism were rare treasures. She was truly a gift to the heart.

A visitation will be held at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A celebration of live will be held on, Saturday August 8 2026 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the  ANAVETS CLUB 315 Town Line Road East Carleton Place, ON K7C 3S2.
