Edith Dash

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Edith Grace Dash on Monday, December 30, 2024 at the age of 92 in Carleton Place, Ontario.

Loving, curious and courageous, a dedicated and wonderful mother to Terry (Patti), Barbara Neidy (1953 - 2003), Rick (Sherry), Randy (Brenda) and Christine (Darin Fowles).

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, May 17, 1932, she ventured off to Montreal in 1951 to meet and marry our father Howie (1925 - 2007). Not long after, in 1960, they escorted their four kids off to Europe as Howie was RCAF and was transferred to Germany and then later to France. From France back to Canada and a new home in Ottawa in 1964 where they settled for many years and finally retired some years later in Vernon, in the Okanagan Valley.

With her eyes wide open mom witnessed a vast and interesting world and upon shedding their kids, those two never ceased traveling and experiencing the globe together. In the Okanagan, with age creeping up on her she headed back east to Almonte, Ontario to be closer to her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Edith leaves her grand kids, Jeff Dash (Natalie), Steve Dash (Ziyada), Marty Dash, Charlie Dash (Samantha), Barbara Grace Dash (Jake), Megan Fowles and Connor Fowles. Great grand kids, Donovan Dash, Jakob Dash and Archie Dash.
