Eloise "Ellie" Evans

Ellie (Eloise) Evans, a long time member of the special group that worked in the medical laboratory at the Grace Hospital, died peacefully at the Almonte General Hospital, after spending her last days at home with family and friends.

Ellie was married to Dave Evans and was the loving and beloved mother of Lori Preshing do Rego and Jeff Preshing. She will be greatly missed by Lori's husband Yves and her grandsons Leo and Noah, and Patricia Duchesneau, Jeff's partner. Ellie will also be missed by her stepdaughter Lisa Evans Paine and Brett Evans and his fiance Erin Kearney, as well as grandchildren Cade and Landon Hayward, Gwyn Buuck, Zach Evans, Noah and Maddie Evans.

Ellie is survived by her brothers Bert Smith, Pat Smith and his wife Nicole, and also by her sister and partner in crime Chico (Jolene) Bergeron who will also greatly miss Ellie.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Ellie on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place.
