Elsie Elizabeth Mitchell
April 24, 1932 – December 21, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in her 94th year, peacefully and surrounded by family at the Almonte General Hospital.


Beloved wife of late Lionel Mitchell, loving mother to Linda, Jean (Art), late Anne and Gary, Predeceased by parents William and Myrtle, sisters Eileen and Margaret, brother Clarence, survived by sister Caroline and many nieces and nephews Fondly remembered by and Proud grandma to Kasey, Jason, Trevor, Melissa, Ashley (Greg), Steven, Marc (Kaylee), Courtney (Jim) and doting great grandmother to Ireland, Briar, Ben, Daisy, Reid, Max, Marley and Eliza, great great grandma to Bentley.

Elsie will be forever remembered for her strength, infectious smile, her unwavering loving and caring nature shown to all especially the many families whose children she cared for over the years, her amazing talent of knitting and crocheting, love of shopping and willingness to help anyone, all of which will live on in our memories and hearts. She was always happiest when surrounded by family.


Special thanks to Dr. Milko, Dr. Dawson, the nursing staff at the Almonte General Hospital for their kindness and care shown and the Paramedicine program.
 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Almonte General Hospital Med Surg unit and/or Lanark County Paramedicine Program.


As per final wishes there are no services to be held. A celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
