After a lengthy, brave battle against Alzheimer’s, our sweet, kind and gentle dad was finally reunited with his wife, Verna (nee Rawding) of 70 years, on August 2, 2023 in his 93rd year.
Eric and Verna were predeceased their daughter, Brenda (1967). Dad is survived by his youngest sister, Mona and brother-in-law, Earl Rawding. He will be missed dearly by his daughters, Judy (Ian), Linda and son Blair.

The family would like to thank the staff of Fairview Manor for their compassionate care of dad.

A funeral service to celebrate both Eric and Verna will be held Sunday, August 6th at 11 am at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place. The service will be livestreamed on YouTube, search YouTube for "Barkerfh Eric Wark" starting at 10:55 am on Sunday. Interment will follow at Guthrie United Cemetery, Clayton, ON.
