Florence Rose Elizabeth (Wark) Ling

Florence Ling

May 30, 1937 - February 5, 2025

Florence passed away suddenly February 5/2025 at her home in Almonte, Ontario at the age of 88 years.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Thomas Goum Ling in 1995. Also predeceased by her brother Raymond Wark of Lanark, sister Leita Watt of Almonte, brother John of Watson's Corners, and a sister Eileen Burke of Perth.  She is survived by her only living sibling, a brother, Leonark Wark of Vars, Ontario and nieces and nephews and extended family.

Florence grew up on the family farm in Dalhousie Twp. and loved her home.  She loved to walk the property and talk about the memories she cherished from her younger years.  She took many photos of the farm that she cherished.   Once she completed High School she went into the workforce and saved enough money to put herself through College and earned a Business Diploma. She got a job in the Government Sector and remained in that field until her retirement.  

Always a kind and loving compassionate person who was willing to lend a hand when possible.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her.  RIP Florence.

Friends and family are invited to attend the graveside service at Munster Union Cemetery (2821 Munster Rd, Ottawa) on Saturday May 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a reception celebrating her life following the interment at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home (19 McArthur Ave, Carleton Place) for all those wishing to attend.
