Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 73 at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital. Born in Ottawa, he is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Isobel as well as his son Andy and brother Allen. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Cheryle, his sons, Jason (Kim) , Derek (Sandy) and his brothers Wayne (Shirley) and Gary (Christine).
He will be remembered fondly by his brothers in law Garry and Randy Forrest. Floyd leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren that include Taylor (Taylor), Elysa (Taylor), Owen (Julia), Hayden, Delaina, Josie, Caroline, Katy, Ruby and great grandchildren, Levi and Jack.
Postponed; Due to the power outage in Carleton Place, A memorial visitation for family and friends will now be held on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 from 1 pm-3 pm at the Alan R.Barker Funeral Home in Carleton Place. 19 McArthur Avenue.
