Gail Denise Rocque (née Beauchamp)
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gail Denise Rocque (née Beauchamp) on January 1, 2026, at the age of 82.
Gail was predeceased by her beloved parents, Oliver Beauchamp and Raymonde (Levac), and her brother Raymond. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Richard, and their three sons: Kevin, Daren (Marie Mayer), and Jeffrey (Laura Dewar).
Known lovingly as Nana, Gail will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Michelle, Nicholas, Katrina, Bobby (Stephanie), and Cory (Amanda). As GG (Great-Grandma), she cherished time spent with her great-grandchildren: Bo, Bree, Colton and Blair.
She is survived by her brother, Randy “Bum” Beauchamp, who was like a son to both Gail and Richard, and by extended family: Helen (the late Richard Bissonnette), Hazel (Richard D’Avignon), Donald Rocque (Marion McIntyre), and Doreen Rocque (Dave Snedden). Gail will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-and-great great nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Gail’s life was a testament to selflessness and love. She was the heart of every gathering, bringing joy through her passions: music, dancing, shopping, laughter, and, most of all, being surrounded by family.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to her family physician Dr. Stecher, the staff at the Civic Hospital Neurosciences Department and the staff at Valley Stream Manor for their compassionate care.
A private family service will be held at Barker Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
