MCLEOD, Gale Sue Ann (Smith)

On March 5, 2026, Gale passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, at 82 years of age.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Edward Charles "Chuck" McLeod, and their three sons: James (Christine), Tim (Liz), and Kevin (Janine). “Grandma” was loved by her nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Gale is going to be missed by her sisters Jessie (Loran) McLean of Quispamsis, NB, Sandra (Walter) Wells of Sussex, NB, her sisters-in-law Clara Allard of Prince Albert, BC, Linda (Brian) Sunderland of West Kelowna, BC, and her brother-in-law John (Elsie) McLeod of Saskatoon, BC. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and friends. Gale will be welcomed into the loving arms of her parents, Mona and Charles Smith; her brothers, Aiden Smith and Llewellen Smith; her sister, Gilda Smith; her sister-in-law, Annie Raynor; and her brothers-in-law, Malcom McLeod, Stephen McLeod, and Floyd Allard.

The family would like to thank Dr. Potvin, the Ontario Health at Home palliative care team, and especially nurse Chelsea for the care, kindness, and support given to Gale and her family. 

As per Gale's wishes, there will be no service. Ashes will be spread at a later date.
