Gerald Marshall Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald Leonard Marshall, peacefully at home, on October 4th, 2024.  Gerald was born October 11, 1955 in Carleton Place, Ontario. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Donna (Smith), his children Graham (Angie Pollock), and Brian (Danielle Gosset), brother in-law Larry Smith (Carol Cassell) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Proud Grandpa to Caleb, Alivia, Wyatt, Amelia and Ellisha. Predeceased by his parents Leonard Marshall and Nellie Kilsby.

His career with Superior propane spanned over 5 decades until his retirement, he was a hard and dedicated worker. Gerry was a talented gas fitter that provided friendly service with exceptional work, always going above and beyond whatever he did.  Most of his free time was spent in his own little paradise, on the banks of the Clyde with Donna and the dog, with plenty of good friends stopping in to say hello. Passing the days tinkering with something (breaking it… to fix it again) or helping a friend in need.  It truly didn’t matter what he was doing as long as it was at Clyde lake. He loved his music, especially when it was a family affair sitting by the fire, listening to all the kids belt out some of his favorite tunes and having lots of laughs. Gerry loved life & loved people and people loved him. He will be greatly missed.

Following Gerald's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  For those who wish, a memorial donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
