At the Smiths Falls hospital on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his cherished wife Vera. Loving companion of Colleen Knapp. Dear father of Pennylynn Bell, Dereke Trimble, Terrie Lemay and Randy Trimble. Predeceased by his daughter Tracey Lynn. Proud grandpa to 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Survived by sisters Doris Porteous, Anne Bourne and Leona Allan. Predeceased by sister Marjorie Long and brothers Douglas Cameron and Ernie. Friends may support the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, ON (613 257-3113), on Tuesday October 31, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon for visitation only. Interment to follow at United Cemeteries. For those who wish, a donation to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

We appreciate the compassion you showed us. Thank you Reverend Bob Hill for burying Dad and Mom on such short notice. You have such a special history with our family and it really meant a lot! We would also like to thank the people that posted Dad's obituary on their Facebook. Unfortunately with the timing we were not able to put the obituary in the paper before the funeral.
