Giuseppe “Joe” Fornaciari

February 7, 1936 – August 3, 2025

Late afternoon, of August 3, 2025, I lost the love of my life, Giuseppe “Joe” Fornaciari. Born in Tarcento, Italy on February 7, 1936. He was very proud of his heritage of being Friulano from the Northern part of Friuli. 

Joe will be dearly missed by his wife Joanne and his little puppy Sophie.

Giuseppe is predeceased by his father Mario and mother Serafina, brother Luciano, sisters Mariucia, Sandra, Andreina and brother-in-law Guido.  He also leaves behind his only brother Gino, sister-in-law Luisa, and nieces Antonella, Stefano, Diego, Barbara, Alesandro and Sara.

He will be missed by his sister-in-law Martyne, Katya, Sylvie Picard and Alain Bussiere. His dearest friends who are like family, The Venchiarutti’s of Jasper, Li Family, friends from Edmonton and dearest Diane Zappavigna.

Giuseppe immigrated on June 10, 1957, to Halifax. He worked all over Canada in the Oil Industries until he retired in 2013 and then relocated to Carleton Place, Ontario.

Giuseppe enjoyed listening to music, he loved dancing, working on cars, cooking and travelling.

My Giuseppe, I will cherish your memories every day with love, and I thank you for giving us such beautiful years together. I will forever love you, until we meet again for a dance.

Thank you to wonderful staff at Rosamond Department at the Almonte Hospital for the care of Joe and thank you sincerely to Dr. Vanderbrink.

My Giuseppe is at peace with no more suffering.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. The Words of Remembrance will be livestreamed on YouTube, search YouTube for "barkerfh Giuseppe Fornaciari"
