Glenwyn (Dacey) Sinnett
It is with great sadness that the family of Glenwyn (Dacey) Sinnett (nee McCowan) announce her passing on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in Carleton Place at the spirited age of 95. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1928, Glenwyn is predeceased by her parents Gladys and Allistair McCowan, her brother Terry (Faye) McCowan, daughter Teresa (Brent) Boutilier, first husband and father to her children, Arthur Sinnett, and second husband Stanley Dacey. Glenwyn is survived by her sons Todd (Heidi) Sinnett, Scott Sinnett, and Stan’s daughter, Terry Martin. She also leaves behind her legacy in grandchildren Ceilidh (Darryl) Peterson, Courtney (Derek) Munnoch, Cieren (Sabrina) Munnoch, Tracy (Chris) Bradshaw, Jennifer Boutilier, and Michael Boutilier. She will also be fondly remembered by her many great-grandchildren.
Glenwyn spent many years working for Great West Life, devoted more than 30 years volunteering for the Carleton Place Public Library, took great joy in playing a weekly game of bridge. Glenwyn spent many wonderful hours in the company of both her new and long-
time friends. She will be greatly missed.
Private family visitation and service will be held at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place with interment at Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.
