Grace McGregor (Loshaw) returned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 24th surrounded by family – our forever Christmas angel. She will be treasured as one of the kindest and most tender-hearted individuals to walk this earth.
Devoted mother of Kelly McGregor-Brook (Derek), Robin Garreau (Timon) and Matthew (Sofia). Adored Grammie to Mitchell, Regan and Hudson. Beloved sister to Giles Loshaw, Shirley Anderson (David) and pre-deceased by Sharon Loshaw. Aunt Grace to many nieces, nephews and children of the heart.
She cherished and loved her family with every fiber in her being. Grace will be remembered as a selfless and gentle woman who always had a smile, even when times were challenging. Grace showed her love to everyone she encountered. Whether as a school volunteer at Sweet’s Corners and Pineview Public Schools, a leader at the Lyndhurst and Athens Free Methodist Sunday School and Christian Youth Crusaders, or in her career with the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, she conveyed compassion and joy.
Grace found happiness in the kitchen. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Holidays and simple days were an opportunity to express love to others through wonderful meals and special treats.
A mother figure to so many, Heaven blessed us all with her time on earth.
Grace will be interred in the family plot at the Westport United Church Cemetery, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
