Helen Isobel Rintoul (nee Jordan)
It is with deep love and sadness that the family announces the passing of Helen Isobel Rintoul (nee Jordan) on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Helen was born in Perth on August 31st, 1934 and was the daughter of Edna (Ritchie) and Arthur Jordan. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kelvin Rintoul with whom she shared 59 years of marriage and family life.
She will be deeply missed by her children Barb Lee (Dan), Evelyn Campbell (Reg), and Joan Gillan (Mason). Predeceased by her son Robert “Bob” Rintoul (Cathy - surviving).
Helen’s legacy also lives on through her 9 grandchildren: Derek Lee (Brittaney), Crystal Lee, Jason Lee (Katie), Candace Giles (Todd), Shelly Quinn (Charlie), Ian Campbell (Natasha), Jennifer Gillan (Matt Gardner), Ritchie Gillan (Margaret), Jamie Rintoul (Rachael) and her 15 great-grandchildren.
Helen was predeceased by her sister Phyllis Stewart (Ken), Shirley Weldon (Jack) and Joan McNaughton (Bill). Warmly remembered by the extended Rintoul families and her many nieces and nephews.
Helen had many interests. She loved gardening and preserving, knitting and a great game of cards.
Helen will be fondly remembered, with cherished stories passed down and reflected upon, bringing warmth, laughter, and love for generations to come. Her presence touched many lives, and though she is no longer with us, the memories she created will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital for their excellent care and kindness during Helen’s final days.
Friends may pay their respects at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario, on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, May 4th at 11:00 A.M., the service will be livestreamed, to view the service search YouTube for "barkerfh Helen Rintoul" beginning at 10:55 A.M. Interment at the Auld Kirk Cemetery followed by a reception in the upper hall at the Carleton Place Arena.
