It’s with heavy hearts that the family Howard A. Turney announces his passing on Monday March 17, 2025, at home surrounded by the ones he loved most. Howard was born with polycystic kidney and liver disease, and over the last few years when his kidney began to shut down, he showed his family just what courage was, committing to his treatments so he can have as long as possible with the ones he loved and cherished.
Howard was married to the love of his Carole for 46 years, he was the proud father to his two children Robert and Jenniffer, but the proudest grandpa to his two grandsons Logan and Nicholas who adored him.
Howard was born in Palmerston, Ontario on December 26, 1956, to Isabell Turney. He was a little brother to Shirley, Sherry and Jane, and a big brother to Isabell and Jackie. His sister always made sure that he felt included as being the only boy.
Howard is predeceased by his older brother Robert J. McGaffin, his oldest sister Shirley Fordham, his mother Isabell Turney Howard’s request was not to have a service, but to honor the life he lived, he requested that he be laid to rest with his older brother Robert and his mother Isbell.
Donation can be made in Howard’s honor to the kidney foundation.
“Your job as our father was never really done, you raised us kids, your grandkids and will be strong. We will forever hold good times when we are sad and together, we will spread them along” message from Bobbie and Jennie.
Message To My Loved Ones
By: Howard Turney written in March of 2024.
When the day starts without tomorrow, I am not there to see, your eyes will fill with tears for me.
I know how much you loved me, just as much as I loved my family.
Don’t think we are far apart, for every time you think of me,
I am right there in my family hearts.
Love Grandpa
