Kurt passed away peacefully July 22,2023 at the age of 80 surrounded by family. Loving son of the late Howard and Lorraine Spinney. Survived by his beloved wife Doreen Spinney. Kurt leaves behind his loving daughters, Kristine Robertson (James) and Elaine Spinney. Proud grandfather to Andrew Joy (Chelsea), Bailey Joy (Alexis), Kallie Lowe (Kyle) and Mitchell Lowe as well as his great-grandchildren, Owen Joy and Kayden Joy.
Kurt had a career with the Ontario Provincial Police serving his communities for over 30 years. He started his career in Parry Sound, Ontario where he developed a passion for fishing, listening to music and he loved to play the guitar. Most of all, Kurt loved to attend his children and grandchildren’s activities. Ballet recitals to baseball, lacrosse and hockey games, he was always there with support and encouragement.
Kurt was loved by all that knew him and will forever remain in our hearts.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Waterside Community Retirement.
