 Irene Landers nee Romanowski

May 14, 1946  ~ June 16, 2022 

Irene died peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 76.  She is predeceased by her hard working parents who immigrated to Canada, the late Valentina (Russia) and Edward Romanowski (Poland) and three beautiful siblings;  the Late George (Brenda) Romanowski, the late Henry (Vera) Romanowski and Sue (the late Ray) Cudmore.  Irene was married to the best man made by God, Gerry Landers, for 56 years.  She is survived by three amazing kids;  Kim Weekes nee Landers, Perry (Pam) Landers, and, Tony Landers. Irene leaves behind a legacy of 14 grandchildren who loved her more than anything;  Kimuzkka, Isaiah, Kassandra, Joshua, Caleb and EJ Weekes, Bradley, Gregory, Jonah, Matea, Gracie, Zackary, Katie and Sophie Landers.

After a long fulfilling life of meeting great people and making tons of friends, she left an imprint on every single person that got to encounter her beautiful presence and bright spirit. She left us all with love and memories that will most definitely live on forever through us all. She went up so peacefully into the hands of God, Mother, Father and 2 Brothers. Her talents, intelligence and warmth will never be forgotten and will also live on through us. Family and Friends were her everything and Irene was not the type to hold a grudge so never doubt the love she had for you. She's watching over everyone and taking care of us for sure. The family loves and appreciates anyone who loved her, taught her and put a smile on her face.

Her Celebration of life will be held on Thursday June 23, 2022 at 1 p.m. Metcalfe Holiness Church located at 1564 John Quinn Road in Greely, Ontario.
