It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Irene Olive Papworth (nee Chamney) on September 10, 2023. She died peacefully in her sleep at the Lanark Lodge.

Predeceased by her husband Michael Thomas and will be missed by her siblings Doris (deceased), Eleanor, Lila (deceased), John, and Lloyd. Also missed by her son Peter, his wife Debbie (nee Wilson) and their children Jennifer, Thomas, Christine, Rachel, and Nicole. Also missed greatly by her daughter Julie Trimble and her children Michael, Alex, and Becky, Mom also had two great grandchildren, Cara and Mac from Becky.

As per Mom’s wishes she requested that there be no remembrance service. Thanks to the dedicated staff of the Lanark Lodge, especially during the pandemic.

In lieu of flowers donations are welcome for the Lanark Lodge and/or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
