At her home the Waterside Retirement Community, on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born in Sydney, Australia on February 26, 1939, Isabelle was the beloved wife of the late John Wallace Southwell. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Julie (Jeff Reis), son John Richard (Giovanna Spezzano), and her grandchildren Justin (Olivia), Jackson (Taya), Jarrett, Brianna, Brooke and Carter.

Isabelle devoted her life to education and had a lifelong passion for teaching. Her career began in the classroom, where she dedicated herself to inspiring and supporting young people. Later, she continued that passion through real estate education, sharing her knowledge, experience and encouragement with others as they began and advanced their own careers. Her commitment to teaching was a reflection of who she was: patient, generous, thoughtful and deeply invested in helping others grow.

Outside of her professional life, Isabelle was a passionate tennis player and a natural social butterfly. She had a wonderful ability to bring people together, and she was often the life of the party. Her warmth, energy and love of conversation made those around her feel welcomed and included. She cherished time with family and friends and will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, kindness and joyful presence.

Interment will take place at St. John’s Anglican Cemetery.
