JAMES (JIM) DONALD BELL
December 25, 1951 - September 27, 2025
Peacefully at the Perth site of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, Jim passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 73. He is survived by his partner, Nancy Shepheard. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Jean Bell. Brother of David, Tom, John, Carolyn, Gordon, Bruce, Anthea, Brent, Glenn and Grant. Father of Ken (Ankita) and Lauren (Andrew), adoptive father of Michael (Danielle), and stepfather of Daniel, Trish and Bobby (Sharon). He will be remembered and missed by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jim was born in 1951 and was an Ottawa resident for most of his life. He also called Almonte, Carleton Place and Rideau Ferry his home. For his career, he was an Educator at Algonquin College. Jim’s kind and gentle nature blended naturally with all that this earth provided.

Friends and family are invited to Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave, Carleton Place, ON for a visiting on Friday, October 3rd from 11:00-12:00 PM followed by a service in the chapel at 12:00 PM. A reception will be held downstairs immediately after the service.
Interment to follow at St. Mary’s cemetery, 552 Townline West, Carleton Place, ON.
