Janet McDougall (Lemay)
January 9, 1952 – March 5, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janet McDougall (Lemay), age 73, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 5, 2025. Janet was born in Quebec City, she is predeceased by her parents George and Phyllis Lemay. At the age of 4 moved to Smiths Falls, ON. She is remembered by her devoted husband, Lee McDougall where they encountered 54 years of a wonderful marriage. Janet will be dearly missed but never forgotten by her daughter Jacquie Blaney (Dwayne). She
is predeceased by her son, Neil McDougall (Geneva) whom she was looking forward to reuniting with. Janet was the cherished grandmother to Kennedy Blaney and Hunter McDougall, whose lives were brightened by her love and care, their blue eyes will always be from their granny.

Janet is survived by her beloved siblings, Guy (Donna), Faye (James), Lynn (Cahl), Danny (Darlene) as well as her sisters-in-law Linda and Terrie her brothers-in-laws Brian (Linda) and Murray as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Larry (Linda) and Dave (Terrie) and her sister Karen (Tony).Janet will be dearly missed by many friends and family as she touched the lives of many people over her years with her sense of humour and jokes, she loved to have a good time and could often be found on the dance floor at a party.

Janet worked at Bell Canada for 34 years, where she formed lasting friendships and was know for her dedication. Outside of work Janet could be found at the rinks as she was a passionate hockey mom and figure skating supporter. Janet loved to sew, she was always creating beautiful handmade items that she shared with family and friends. Later in life Janet joined a ladies dart league, which she loved and enjoyed and made many friendships.

We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the PSW’s, nurses, paramedics team, staff at Rexall and doctors for their care and compassion during her final years.

A Graveside Service will be held June 21st, 2025 @ 11:00am at Wolford Rural Cemetery, 677-777 Kilmarnock Rd, Jasper, ON, followed by a Celebration of Life at Royal Canadian Legion, 7 Main St E, Smiths Falls, ON K7A 1A1
