Galloway, Jean Margaret (nee Hannaford)

1943 - 2022

Passed away peacefully with family by her side, on September 4, 2022 at Orchard View by the Mississippi Retirement home in Almonte, at the age of 78. She is survived by her loving partner, Ken Blackburn as well as her siblings Darlene (Tim) Steele and Gerry Scharf. She was the proud and loving mother to Wanda (Andrew) Ross, Karen Blackburn, David (Micheila) Blackburn, Kent (Jennifer) Blackburn. Grandma Jean had the enjoyment of 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lawrie Ray, Bayshore Home Care, and especially to the amazingly kind and dedicated staff at Orchard View, for their warm, caring and professional care. Those special connections, will be forever in our hearts. There are no words to describe the love, kindness and compassion our mom, Jeannie received while in the Memory Unit.

You will be forever missed, so until we meet again, enjoy your beloved coffee, listen to your favorite music and dance amongst the stars.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 15th, 2022 at 1p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Perth, Ontario.

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations to The Dementia Society of Ottawa or the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation (AGH-FVM) in Jean’s memory, would be appreciated by the family.
