Jean Lay

Jean Lois Lay
December 29th 1930- February 14th 2025

Passed away peacefully and surrounded by so much love at the age of 94. She is now reunited with her beloved Donnie. Jean is survived by her two sons Kim Lay and Roy Lay (Eileen) and her daughter Ann (Ray). A Loving Grandmother to Kevin (Tracy), Cindy (Shane), Jo-ann (Ian) and Jeremy (Colleen). A special Great-Grandma to Hailee, Grace, Brayden, Brooke, Hailie, Kaitlin, Sheradan and Ethan. A cherished Great Great Grandmother to Taison and loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Donnie Lay, her parents Lena McCollough and James Banning, sisters Mildred Waters, Verna McGregor and her brothers Lorne Banning and Bob Banning.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, when the weather is warmer, just as Jean requested. In honour of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, she would love to see you add a little kindness to someone else's day .

A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Carleton Place Hospital for taking such good care of Jean. The Lay family would also like to say thank you to Mark Gormley for showing so much love to our family on a difficult day.
