Dorothy “Jean” MacGregor

Peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Fairview Manor in Almonte, at the age of 62.  Jean will be missed by her children Ashley (Kyle), Courtney (Scott) and Lucius (Christine).  Adored Grandma to Jordyn, Scarlett and Maddison. Beloved sister-in-law Nancy (Greg) and brother-in-law Larry (Fiona). She will be missed by her niece Alison and nephew Jordan.

Jean was known by many as “Grandma Jean” and “Jeanne”. Jean loved to cook and bake and spend time with her grandkids. She loved spending time with her dogs, Maggie, Dede and Emi.  Jean's life was a testament to love, strength, and selflessness. Jean was a strong woman who fought through so much and is now at peace.

Visitation will be held at Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario, on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 11 – 11:45 a.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 12 noon.

The family invites everyone to join them for a reception downstairs following the service.
