Judith Wilkin Obituary

Wilkin, Judith “Judy” Irene

Born September 27, 1934, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior at Lanark Lodge in Perth, Ontario on Thursday June 26, 2025.  She was 90 years old.   Born in West LaHave, Nova Scotia, Judith lived the first three decades of her life in the Maritimes, working as a secretary in Halifax, then moving to London, Ontario to work there for a couple of years.  She married Cameron Wilkin in 1967 and moved to Burlington, Ontario.  In 1969, Cam and Judy returned to the Maritimes where they raised their two children Ross and Gretchen, living for a while n Halifax then Fredericton.  Judy was a devoted wife and mother, a baker of delicious and beautiful cakes, and a highly regarded cook.  Her hospitality was known far and wide and appreciated by many.  She put her faith in Jesus at a young age and remained a faithful disciple of the Lord throughout her lifetime.  At the time of her death she was in fellowship with the Christians gathered to the Lord’s name in Smiths Falls.
Judith was preceded in death by her husband Cameron Laurence Wilkin, her brother Weston (Winnie) Cleversey, her father Bronson Cleversey and mother Lillian (Corkam) Cleversey.  She is survived by her two children, Gretchen (Blake) Heagy and Ross (Christie) Wilkin; six grandchildren, Tamika and Alissa Heagy, and Katie (Tom Kauffman), Cameron, Sophie and James Wilkin; and by one great-grandson, Henry Kauffman.
In addition to her home-making skills, Judy will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, including gardening, ice skating, swimming and sun- tanning.  She loved to write letters, visit friends and family, and make daily trips to the grocery store.  No one who entered her house was ever in danger of leaving hungry. Guests were not only served full-course meals three times per day, but they were also constantly offered her delicious homemade goodies, including cakes, scones, biscuits, and cookies along with an assortment of candies and nuts.
Visitation will take place at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB, on Saturday July 19, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
