JULIAN, Karen Irene Angelina (June 9, 1945 – June 23, 2024)

The Julian family wish to sadly announce the sudden passing of our loved mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many Karen (Cantin) Julian at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, former resident of Straffordville, at the age of 79. Karen is the daughter of the late Ben Cantin and the late former Marie (Hanson) Cantin. Karen was a resident of Straffordville since 2009, a member of St. James Anglican Church, Carleton Place and a proud, dedicated member of the Tillsonburg Quilting Guild. Predeceased by her much-loved husband (“Bruce”) Richard Bruce Julian (March 8, 2024). Loved “mom” of Jim Julian of Straffordville and loved grandma of Jacob of Caledonia. Survived by a brother Pierre (Susan) Cantin, Kanata; and two sisters: Anne Cantin, Alberta and Julia (Richard Laviolette), Perth, Ontario and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sister-in-law of Colin (Wendy) Julian, Calgary, Alberta; Jill (Ed Prior), Victoria, B.C.; Terry (Evelyn) Julian, St. Thomas; Norma (Tom Sperl), Fountain Valley, California, U.S.A.

Public visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc., 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg (519) 842-4238. Funeral Service to celebrate Karen’s Life to be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, Tillsonburg by The Venerable Osita Oluigbo of St. John’s Anglican Church, Tillsonburg. For those unable to attend the funeral service, a livestream will be offered and a public link will be posted to Karen’s online tribute page (under photos and videos) on Wednesday. Graveside Service will be Friday, June 28th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carleton Place, Ontario.
