I met Kat when I was working at Eastway. She eventually became my assistant, my right hand, and my best friend. For a short time, she was my only friend since I struggled with making meaningful connections. She acted like a mother at times for me, when mine would fall short. I learned so much from Kat.

Whenever Kat would come up in conversation, or visit me: I would introduce her as my best friend- even to this day.  When Eastway shut down, we went separate ways but we kept in touch with almost monthly coffee dates. Keeping in touch. Then when life changed some more, we tried to do lunch dates. I moved away and kept in touch via text with Kat every couple of months over the last 2 years.

She was the most giving, kind, and one of the most exceptional people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I am truly sad she is gone but I am glad she's no longer in any pain.

Dear Edna, Rob, Joan, Doug, Lynn & Family,
My heartfelt condolences are conveyed to each of you during this difficult time of loss.  I'll always remember Kathy for her warm smile & her compassion for so many.  It doesn't seem like 40 years since I attended Rob & Kathy's lovely wedding at Edna & Phil's home in Perth.  May your many wonderful memories provide comfort during the days ahead, my thoughts & prayers are with each of you.
