Kelly MacDonald Obituary

Kelly Lorrain MacDonald
January 20th, 1968 – March 6th , 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Kelly Lorrain
MacDonald. She passed at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, at age 56. Kelly was
predeceased by her parents Mary and Albert Harvey. Survived by her loving
husband, Dean MacDonald of 29 years, and her beloved children Katelyn (Lewis)
and Reanna (Justin) MacDonald. She will be missed by her sisters, Linda (Morley)
James, Debbie (Pete) McDonald, Karen (Brian) Cox, and in laws Scott (Lucy),
Shawn (Storm), Cliff (Julie), Chris (Donna), and many nieces, nephews, and dear
close friends.

Kelly held her family close and had been through many hardships in her life. She
was an incredibly strong and resilient person who conquered life’s problems with
optimism. You would often find her at the trailer on Clayton Lake with her family and
great friends. Many of her greatest memories were made here. Those who knew her
would describe her as welcoming to everyone, and her door was always open to
anyone who needed it. She showed love and empathy toward everyone, everywhere
she went, she will be wholeheartedly missed by everyone who knew her.

A funeral service was held privately with family.

A celebration of life will be held, open to all, at the Army, Navy & Airforce Club # 396, 315 Townline Road East, Carleton Place on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 12 noon to 4 pm..

Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. (Donation link below)

Serenity Prayer:
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to
change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
